We are pleased to announce that we have been approved as an Amazon Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) Direct Validation body, supporting businesses in navigating and complying with Amazon’s updated requirements for toy sellers.
Amazon has recently introduced an important new policy for the toys category, requiring that product compliance is validated directly through an Amazon-approved TIC body under the Direct Validation program. This requirement applies to all Amazon marketplaces in the United States, Canada and Europe.
Toy sellers can no longer upload compliance documents through Seller Central and must now adapt their compliance workflows, selecting a professional, efficient, Amazon-approved TIC organization to complete the validation process.
Impact on sellers
- If validation is approved, the product will remain eligible for sale on Amazon without further action
If validation is not completed or the product is non-compliant, the product may be removed and delisted
What is TIC Direct Validation?
The Direct Validation mechanism strengthens product safety and regulatory compliance. Products in designated categories must undergo direct validation through an Amazon-approved TIC organization.
- All testing and validation results are submitted directly to Amazon by the TIC
- Sellers can no longer upload compliance documents
TIC direct validation workflow
- Sellers initiate a test request in Seller Central: Performance → Account Health → Policy Compliance → Verify Your Products
- Assigned TIC contacts the seller to schedule testing or to validate existing test reports
- Once testing/validation is completed, the TIC submits the results directly to Amazon (files can no longer be uploaded by the seller)
