SGS in the UK
We have been operating in the UK since the first half of the twentieth century, initially delivering trade services to the agricultural and oil sectors. Today, SGS United Kingdom Limited has grown into the country’s leading provider of independent inspection, certification, testing, verification and training services for a wide range of industries, employing nearly 1,500 people.
Based out of our head office in Ellesmere Port, we have over 50 facilities, including 17 laboratories, spread across the whole of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We operate in nearly every area of the UK economy, with a focus on manufacturing testing needs, such as instrument calibration, and partner successfully in the industrial and environmental sectors.
